The timeless commitment of the company to research and state-of-the-art technology has created an entire generation of scientists that enterprisingly opened new paths in sectors of applied science like organic synthesis, chemical analysis and biotechnology.

Although most of VIORYL’s extensive research activities are self-financed, there is a big part that is funded by the European Union and the Greek Government, through its participation in joint research projects with major Universities and Research Institutes across Europe.

Research focuses on the synthesis of new chemical compounds, the optimization of production processes, the study of natural products, the isolation and application of high-added value chemical compounds of interest to perfumery or other industrial sectors.

Particular emphasis is given to plant health with the development of innovative plant nutrition and pest control products through the investigation of plant physiology and rigorous safety and performance evaluation.
